Response to the lack of funerals and mourninig due to COVID-19

The year 2020 will be remembered as a turning point for the entire world. The first months of the year have forced humanity to confront the dramatic, and in many ways unprecedented, Covid-19 pandemic. 

Isolation, loneliness, social distancing, economic problems, death, and especially failure to grieve draw the new boundaries in which we pastors are called to dwell. Today the Church, perhaps more than at other times in history, must rediscover its being a "field hospital for vulnerable". The multiple interventions of bodies working in the psychosocial field hardly dwell competently on the religious-spiritual sphere of people. These guidelines aim precisely to fill this gap by recovering a rituality capable of healing wounds and simultaneously reopening to life.
